Activities
Out and About with Victoria’s Childminding
I believe some of the best learning happens out in the real world. My outings are tailored to the children’s interests and developmental stages, and I’m always on the lookout for new adventures. Activities include:
-
Forest School sessions
-
Local toddler groups and meet-ups
-
Trips to farms, the seaside and National Trust parks
-
Visits to museums, cultural sites and community events
-
Nature walks and seasonal scavenger hunts
-
Gymnastics and movement-based play
-
Language and phonics groups (including Sounds Right Phonics and Zumbini)
Every outing is carefully planned to support all 7 areas of learning in the Early Years Foundation Stage, while helping children build confidence, independence and a sense of wonder about the world around them.

Learning Through Play
Back at the setting, I offer a rich environment filled with open-ended resources, cosy corners and natural materials. Inspired by Hygge in the Early Years, I’ve created a calm, welcoming space where children feel at home. My approach blends elements of Montessori, Reggio Emilia and the Curiosity Approach, always guided by the latest research and what I know about each individual child.
I prioritise communication, emotional wellbeing and connection. Every experience is designed to nurture curiosity, creativity and confidence, all while having masses of fun in a safe and loving space.
